Treehouse Academy...
the slightly different school in Rundu
...

Who we are...
My name is Micha Kühne, I grew up in Berlin and studied to be a teacher. My wife Madelein and I met and fell in love in Namibia.
Together we have 3 children, Rafael is 8 years old and Milka is 5 and Reuel is 1 year old.
We have been living in the north of Namibia for 9 years now, in a town called Rundu.
We are both teachers and love working with and teaching children.

What we do...
We run a school and a kindergarten with almost 200 children. That's quite a challenge.
Madelein teaches the children in preschool (5-6 years) and I am the director of our school, Treehouse Academy.
We try to help as many children as possible, because schools here are completely different than in Germany. At other schools there are 70 – 100 children in one class! This is a mess.
Although we are a private school, we have many children who do not pay school fees. We want to help them have a better education and future, as many children in state schools don't learn much, no wonder with so many children in one class.

Our vision...
Although we are a private school, we have many children who do not pay school fees. We want to help them have a better education and future, as many children in state schools don't learn much, no wonder with so many children in one class.
It is often sad to see how many children here do not receive a proper education, how many children do not have food or clothing and how many children have no chance.
We help children from poor families, giving them education, clothing and a warm lunch every day.
Donations help us buy materials and school clothing for these children.
We want to help and you can too!
A big thank you to our donors!
